Steve Fellows Bio
He currently consults businesses in strategic marketing planning and business development for a major international company that focuses on electronic payments. His clients are across the United States and primarily sell products and services to small business.
Mr. Fellows believes companies need the ability to act at the top level of performance and develop strong business relationships internally and externally. Execution is about getting the right resources into the right activities, and then holding people accountable for results. Using proven methods for product development, strategic analysis, and developing relationships with other companies he drives to make every project successful.
Between 2001 and 2007, he worked as a consultant in strategic marketing. He saw a need for companies to focus on the actual revenue generation activities. Initially, the firm, The Fellows Group, delivered sales plans and teams. The company’s strategic services developed out of the clients’ needs for accurate forecasting, and quickly became their best selling product. It was during this time that he also developed relationships with startups and investors; learning about the key aspects of those businesses that turned into successful ventures. During this time, he developed several long term clients: he was Marketing Director for a national animation festival, executive producer for an animation startup, and advised investors and entrepreneurs on new ventures.
He served in a marketing function for Texas Instruments with experience in wireless products. Before that, he worked in a semiconductor factory as a quality engineer developing business relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and customers. During 1990s, he was part of the installation team for one of world’s largest chip fabrication facilities in Dallas, Texas.
In December 2001, Mr. Fellows received his MBA from the Cox School of Management at Southern Methodist University with a focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship. He attended the Disney Management Institute program in December 2001, which teaches companies how to create a customer service culture. He also holds a Master’s in Materials Science from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
